How the 3D animation video process works
First, conceptualisation
Laying out the entire project from start to end to make sure we’re all on the same page with your 3D Animation Video request.
If you need a storyboard for your 3D video, we can do that too! fewStones provide a full suite of corporate videography services in Singapore.
Next, 3D-modelling
The 3D object used in the video will need to be created. If you have the models ready, that would be great and will speed up the entire process. Otherwise, we have professional video editors with knowledge across multiple 3d softwares such as Blender, 3DS max and more and can help you create the perfect model.
Depending on the complexity of your model, creation time and costs may vary.
Next, rigging
Rigging is a technique used in skeletal animation for representing a 3D character model using a series of interconnected digital bones. Specifically, rigging refers to the process of creating the bone structure of a 3D model. This bone structure is used to manipulate the 3D model like a puppet for animation.
Then, texturing
Texturing is the process of applying an image to a 3D model. Textures are the flat images that are applied to a model to give it colour and detail rather than them being blank and boring. shaders, however, are what give a model extra detail that isn’t there, such as opacity ( whether you can see through it or not), reflectiveness, depth, can make it look like there is water dripping down the side of the object etc.
Then, animation
After all details are confirmed, our 3D animators will get to work to add movement to the characters or items according to the storyboard. We will provide you with the draft for your review after.
Lastly, composing
After rendering, composing will be done by adding colour corrections, motion blur and other visual effects. Music, voiceover or sound effects will be added to complete your 3D animation video.
